/as a young boy – I feared God enough to go to the altar in a Southern Baptist church in my hometown. I wasn’t running to Jesus, I was running from Hell. 40 years later and a 100 miles away from my hometowm, I received a postcard from a little non-denominational Christian church near the condo we just purchased. The postcard invited us to a Christmas program. It was not like anything I had ever experienced. During the next few weeks, I discovered that God wasn’t an angry being, we was a loving God. 6 years later I live my life for Him and am spreading that love as much as I can. I now work at the church parttime and run a house painting business on the side.
